  3. I am 18 now.

  4. I was 16 at the time. Since then, I’ve been to Europe twice, and have much more experience playing. I wish to re-record this piece (as well as do some interpretive changes) sometime in the near future. Maybe this summer (?).

Oh, I’ve never seen that :P Thanks. I also prefer it without the second C.

  6. Some editions don’t have the two C-s linked, so that you have to play both. Though i prefer without the second C, it leaves much more room for imagination :)

  7. stevey226 says:

Bar 7, you’re not suppose to play the other C

Maby some more rubato. And maby a more nice construction of the thrills. But I liked it! What is (were) your age?
    Regards

Don’t really get that one….. I think you can’t possibly compare those pieces…..

  10. agreed, trills not clear! but i thought it was played beautifully, however I like the way i play it better. its a taste thing i guess <3

  11. mrugankpatankar says:

Your trills are not clear. But I like this interpretation. Good Job !!! (=D)

  12. too bad the ballade was cut out in the middle… but i love the movie. have you listened to the actual pianist who was modeled for the movie? I was surprised at his interpretations cause it was quite different from what I usually heard. His interpretation sounds like an incurable anguish whereas most of this nocturne’s interpretations sound more like mourn for love. It’s interesting to compare. Check it out.

    yes

  14. Yep, it was.

  15. Starbirdy9999 says:

Wasn’t this played in the movie “The Pianist” with Chopin’s Ballade No.1 in G minor?

  16. Beautiful and relaxing and well worth the wait! I met your dad last June when i was on tour with my band, i think it was in Vnuks WC. He gave me this link and i only found it again today written on a box of matches that had lay in my suit case for the last year. You can tell your dad from me your every bit as good as he said you were!!! All the best for the future Seth. Kie, Ireland.

I really like this piece and is currently learning it :) This recording is awesome, fav so I can listen to it as a guide ^^

  18. it gives the feeling of beethovens moonlight mov 1

  19. I’m sorry to approach you, but do you have the music sheet for this?

If you’re going to play the ever-wonderful stereotype of the offended supremacist, try to steer clear of casual swearing and misspelling forgery. It tends to weaken an arguement.

Have to love the polite request to remove the video on account of offending you though. How very tolerant of you to allow a mere mortal a second chance.

  21. I found it odd too that people do too much with the original music score. I have no idea where ibby6666 was coming from; Original? I am basically playing the original. (I use Henle editions for my music-it’s Urtext, which means it’s the autograph of the composer).

And, by the way, the version in the pianist seems to be the only recording people know, therefore, THAT’S how it should be played. I advise everyone to open their ears and heart up to things. I am not defending myself, but everyone.

  22. potatosama says:

    What book do you have? I use the Keith Snell version. She says my left hand lags too much. D;

  23. doodiebrains says:

How silly of your “teacher”. The sheet music clearly prints “Lento”, or at least mine does. :)

  24. this a good forgory but nothing like the original, whitch is a bit dissapointing making the original sound shit. please take it off thank you

  25. bubbaXzone says:

my version is a bit different in the middle where the left hand pretty much has the melody.

it doens’t say any markings for me to speed up. My Piano teacher said just do wat the music says.
